Randi Patterson scored twice to lead the Battery to victory after Miami striker Alex Afonso had given his side an early lead. The win lifts Charleston (2-1-2, 8 points) into second position in the USL First Division.

2007 USL-1 MVP set to join MLS side next season
The Seattle Sounders FC signed French forward Sebastien Le Toux to a multi-year contract, the team announced today. Le Toux is the first player to sign with the club, which will begin play in 2009. Le Toux is currently on loan to USL First Division side Seattle Sounders and will officially be added to the Sounders FC roster when the Major League Soccer’s official signing period opens following the 2008 season.
