CARY, NC -- The Carolina Railhawks tied the Rochester Rhinos 1-1 on Saturday night in the second match of the Inaugural Memorial Day RailHawks Doubleheader.

The Railhawks controlled most of the match and Martin Nuñez scored the Railhawks goal early in the 14th minute.

The RailHawks continued to attack and had plenty of scoring chances keeping the 4,500 plus fans on the edge of their seats but the Rhinos were able to score late in the game with Mauricio Salles in the 89th minute to steal the tie.

“We played very well in the first half,” said RailHawks Head Coach Scott Schweitzer. “Probably the best I’ve seen anybody play so far. Unfortunately we lacked the discipline we needed in the end and we were not able to finish the job.”

Next the Carolina Railhawks Men's Professional team will host the 2007 USL-1 Champion Seattle Sounders on Wednesday, May 28th at 7:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park.
