Thunder release Taylor, Moojen

ST PAUL, MN -- The Minnesota Thunder announced today that defender Kevin Taylor and forward Frederico Moojen have both been released from the team.

Taylor spent two seasons with Minnesota (Josh Devins)Taylor joined the Thunder in the 2007 season that saw him play in 20 games, logging 1,673 minutes and two goals. In 2008, Taylor played in 25 games, logging 1,722 minutes. Prior to joining the Thunder, Taylor was with the Rochester Rhinos for two seasons.

Moojen joined the Thunder in 2008 after spending the 2007 season with the Montreal Impact. The Brazilian forward played in 26 games for the Thunder, tallying two goals and two assists.

'I want to thank both Kevin and Freddy for their contributions to the Thunder,' said Thunder head coach Donny Gramenz. 'The Thunder wishes them both well in their future soccer endeavors.'

The Thunder opens the home season on Saturday, May 2 when it hosts the defending USL-1 Champions, the Vancouver Whitecaps. Season tickets are now on sale my visiting
